This is a superbly hand painted genuine DUCK egg, unlike any other egg listed on ebay. The scene is of three zebra in a lush forest. There is a tremendous amount of detail. I bought this egg from the Indonesian village craftsman that painted it. Typically village craftsmen and women there are farmers. During the off season some of the farmers in this particular village paint eggs .They have a natural artistic talent.  I go to Indonesia every year to visit and buy unique items like this. The farmers set the price, and I pay them what they ask. This extra income helps to feed their family, send their children to school, and allows them to buy items they would not normally be able to afford. If this masterfully painted egg were in an art gallery it would probably sell for ten times what I am listing it for.  It is in excellent condition, and comes with a hand made wood egg stand, and a hand woven palm fron protective box. Egg measures about 2 1/2" tall. Please note that duck eggs in Indonesia are a bit smaller then those duck eggs in the USA.
