This listing is for a quality 3" Trackball Assembly unit - Ideal for Mame™ projects, arcade cabinets, museums or interactive displays. Each trackball comes with a 10FT cable with USB & PS/2 connection, 4 long fixing bolts with nuts and 4 black pushbuttons with microswitches attached to the cable. The pushbuttons can be used for the 3 button mouse functions and left/right pinball flippers. There is also a blue cable for attaching another pushbutton to enable the horizontal disabler for golf games! The trackball is made by XGaming and uses only the finest parts. Designed to meet the demands of performance-minded enthusiasts, the trackball utilizes the highest-rated photocoupler on the market from Sharp Electronics™ to ensure the most precise optical sensing and performance.
The unit comes ready to mount underneath the control panel - just drop in the 4 long bolts from the top and tighten, then plug into the USB port of your computer - that's it! Do I need to plug this into a MinIpac or Optipac?
NO - You do not need any additional hardware - plugs straight into the USB/PS2 port of a PC.

Can I use the left click and right click like a mouse?
YES - The buttons that are included are already attached to the harness for this.

Can I use this trackball for Mame™?
YES - This will work fine for most emulators. In MAME™ choose the "Options" menu (at the top), and click "Default Game Options" from the drop-down menu. Select the "Game Controllers" tab and click the box next to "Enable Mouse Support" to add a check mark (if it is not already checked).
All of your MAME™ games will work with that configuration.

Can I make the trackball more or less sensitive on my PC?
YES - Go to the "Mouse" section of your Control Panel in Windows™, under the "Pointer Options" tab adjust the "Select Pointer Speed" bar to faster for more sensitive movement, less for slower movement.
