This len hood shades the lens from stray light, improving your contrast and image quality; in inclement weather, it can assist in keeping moisture or wind-blown debris off the lens; and it protects the front barrel from the inevitable impacts against walls, door frames, and other real-life obstacles.
It can be collapsed into three stages to fit your lens - extending it for the telephoto, collapsing it for wide angle lens.
You could still use other filters that are screwed in its front thread.
Fits all lens with 58mm thread size.
