I bought these rods and reels new two years ago, and have only used them 3 or 4 times.  These are custom build Star Rods with Stuart roller guides.  One is a bent butt, and the other two are straight butt rods.  The rods themselves were $400 bucks a piece, and the reels were $600.  The fact that I'm starting the auction at $1,500 means somebody could be getting a steal!  I am selling them as a set of three, however I will entertain serious offers if you just want a single.  I love fishing, but I need to buy an engagement ring...quick!  Yes, It may seem like I am trading everything that is good in the world for the very thing that makes us want to go fishing in the first place!  If I do regret this decision to part with my 3 children here, then I am fairly confident that there will always be some poor soul just like me wanting to dump his gear for some cash....and there are always those that are dumping these things when things don't work out after they eat the wedding cake.  So...point is... I'm ready to sell - are you ready to BUY!
