Quality accessories that will last

The white sponge is made from a very dense sponge which is suitable for when severe swirl marks or other surface defects need vigorous action to be removed.

The blue sponge is to be used for less severe defects and can be considered to be of medium density.

The red sponge in this package is the least dense and is to be used for final polishing and finishing of your paintwork.

Changing Machine Functions

As you can see from the image to the left, changing the function of the machine to a sander or finishing buffer is a very simple process. The sponge heads are simple hook and loop which essentially means that they simply screw off.

The image to the left shows the reversal of this. Here we are screwing on the 150mm backing plate as supplied within this pack. This plate has a velcro surface which allows you to either attach the wool bonnet for final finishing of your polishing job, or for attaching the sanding disc.

We have merely included this to emphasise the ease with which these heads can be changed.

Also, note that the protective collar, which is primarily for protection from sparks during any grinding activity, does not need to be removed during sanding or polishing. It can be removed however, should you so wish, but this is not necessary.

Here we have the machine being prepared for grinding operation. The process is slightly different to the backing plate attachment, in that the grinding disc sits over and is secured in place by a locking disc as shown. This is then tightened using the supplied spanner.
