This is an easy to install awning that provides all round protection from sun and showers.

Waterproof polyester cover with Weatherite all seasons water proof treatment. All Soneva Awnings can be fitted to chalets, garden buildings, Brick Walls and Static Caravans.

Fitting should take no more than 2 hours assuming that you have the following list of tools :
(1) Hammer action drill and 14mm Masonary Drill Bit
( SDS drills and bits are by far the easiest for quickest )

(2) Chalk or Pencil

(3) Spirit Level

(4) Mallet ( or small piece of wood and a hammer )

(5) Socket tool set in millimeters

(6) Adjustable Spanner ( Not essential but very helpful )

This awning can be fitted by one person, but we do recommend that you have a second person handy as it makes things much faster and easier when lifting the awning onto the brackets.

You will always find cheaper awnings than ours on Ebay. There will always be someone that has found yet another way to cut the quality and price of their awnings in an attempt to drive more business.

Times are tough for all retailers these days especially those selling on Ebay. Costs have dramatically risen. In an attempt to stay competitive some awning sellers are finding ways to supply what would appear to be the same awning as reputable brands such as SONEVA AWNINGS at cheaper prices. The truth is, there are big differences in safety and overall quality.

Cheaper awnings typically use Recycle Aluminium in the production process. Recycled aluminium contains high levels of Silicone which drastically reduces the strength of the component parts. The effects will typically be seen around 12 months after installation when the brackets and fittings start to crack and break.

Cheaper awnings have a very thin layer of powder coating on the metal parts which peels off after around 12 months leaving a powdery white surface which deteriorates quickly, especially during the winter.

So, you are opening up your awning on a beautiful summers day and "CRACK" the de-spec'd arms snap under tension causing a nasty accident when the arms fly across your patio and hits someone in the head. Or... the brackets on the wall snap when your awning is fully open and the whole awning drops off the wall hurting everyone underneath it.
