We don’t find it that easy to buy bicarbonate of soda where we live so in the end we decided to bulk buy25kg.That is a lot mind you but I won’t need to worry for a long while now.We use it for cleaning sinks etc and it’s also good for heartburn would you believe,when mixed with water. When we were able to buy it,it came in 500gm packets which were £1 each. In the 25kg sack.you get the equivalent of 50 packets so buying small would cost you £50. Whilst this has cost us£21.93. I trust the brand (I work for tats but not in their chemicals division). This is a great price for such a large amount - perfect for people, like me who are using a more natural approach to cleaning their homes and body, making bath bombs and numerous other uses. I love the versatility of bicarbonate of soda and I will never go back to using mass produced shop bought toxic cleaning products.

Research sodium bicarbonate and you will find lots of information (and stories) about the shelf-life etc. but this is a natural product and as such, should last for years to come. Fantastically versatile
Among it's many other uses, I use Sodium Bicarbonate as a pH buffer for my koi pond. With a pH value of 8.6 making it impossible to overdose in the event of any miscalculation or spillage in the pond, this means I can guarantee a stable pH value within the safe range for koi. Buying in bulk means I have it on hand whenever I need it and always have plenty to spare for those other occasions where sodium bicarb works as a "miracle" substance for anything from baking to cleaning and polishing and from banishing bad smells to killing weeds on your drive!Among it's many other uses, I use Sodium Bicarbonate as a pH buffer for my koi pond. Green cleaning all over the house.
25kg last one year for use in cleaning, laundry & more. Sodium biocarbonate has replaced most toxic cleaning products in our household. The bag is paper so can be recycled as well. It is bulky & heavy so needs an out of the way place for storage.
