Comment ça marche ? Les tests d'ovulation détectent dans l’urine une hormone (LH : lutéinisante) produite tout au long du cycle menstruel mais qui augmente 24 à 38 heures avant l’ovulation . Produite par l’hypophyse, c’est cette hormone qui donne le signal à l’ovaire. Ainsi, un test positif annonce un pic ovulatoire dans les 24 à 48 heures. Comment faire le test ? Trempez la bandelette dans un petit récipient d'urine. Ressortez le test 3 secondes aprés et posez le sur une surface plane. Le résultat se lit en 3-5 minutes. Si la bande LH est de même intensité ou plus foncé que la bande de controle, vous avez détecté votre montée d’hormone LH (Ce pic précède l’ovulation de 24 à 48 heures).Si aucune bande LH n’apparaît, ou cette dernière est plus claire que la bande de référence, vous n’avez pas détecté votre montée d’hormone LH et vous devez refaire le test le lendemain à la même heure.
