• Detail : Nizoral  ketoconazole cream is a medicine for treating skin infections by fungi or yeasts. It is used for different infections of the trunk, the groin, the feet and the hands. Certain skin infections, recognizable by reddish brown patches with yellow or white scaling, usually in the face and one the chest (Seborrhoeic dermatitis), are also treated with Nizoral cream.Nizoral topical cream contains the synthetic broad spectrum antifungal agent, ketoconazole. Ketoconazole has a potent antimycotic activity against dermatophytes i.e. ringworm, liver spots, or chloasma. Usually this cream acts very rapidly on pruritus which is commonly seen in dermatophyte and yeast infections as well as itch skin conditions related with the presence of Pityrosporum sp.

• Ingredients: propylence  glycol,stearyl alcohol ,cetyl alcohol, sorbitan  monostearate ,polysorbate.isopropyl myristate, sodium sultite.

• For white/brown patches on the skin: Treat the affected areas With Nizoral shampoo once a day for up for 5 days. These patches can become more apparent on exposure to the sun. This effect can be reduced by a single 3-day course of Nizoral shampoo applied immediately before exposure to the sun.

• For dandruff or dry/greasy scaling of the skin: To start with, use Nizoral shampoo twice a week (every 3 or 4 days) for 2-4 weeks. After that, use the shampoo once every 1-2 weeks to prevent the symptoms returning. If your hair requires washing between treatments, you can use an ordinary shampoo.

• How to use: You should apply the Nizoral cream once a day . Usually you will see clear signs of improvement after 4 week already .Should this not be the case, see your doctor.

  Apply directly on the infected area for 1-2  times/day for a period of 2-4 weeks depending on each individual condition. Do not stop using the cream until a few days after all symptoms have disappeared completely. Depending on the type and extent of the infection ,the treatment may last 2 to 6 weeks.

     -For skin infections of the trunk ,the groin , the feet and the hand, apply cream once a day.

     -For skin infections, recognizable by reddish brown patches with yellow  or white scaling.

  Usually in  the face and on the chest ( Seborrhoeic dermatitis), apply Nizoral cream once or twice a day.After 2 to 4 weeks you can still apply the cream once or twice a week in order to maintain the effect of the treatment.
