General information about SEBEN astronomy:
|
| |
Seben Astronomy is generally equipped with guiding computer based optical systems and surfaces to achieve a maximum in performance.
Most advanced computer controlled machines guarantee, that the specifications on dimension of Seben Astronomy as well as the finishing and glass homogeneity are precisely kept.
In Addition the up-to-date construction of Seben Astronomy assures, that you can get a lot of accessory quickly and easily. Here is to be mentioned particularly, that all products from Seben Astronomy are outfitted with holes for 1.25 " (31.7mm) accessories. As a result it even becomes possible to explore the popular World of Astrophotography, because getting the necessary accessory is no problem at all.
Attention:
|
|
|
| |
Please note that many Astronomy products are still outfitted with the plain and obsolete 0.98“ (24.5mm) accessory-holes. Since you can hardly get accessory for these type of holes any more, you presumably won't enjoy a product with such a characteristic for a long time. Furthermore the 1.25” (31.7mm) eyepieces, which can be used with Seben Astronomy generally, gather much more light than the smaller 0.98“ (24.5mm) eyepieces. The result is a great increase in performance.
Seben Astronomy has proven for a long time, that good quality can be achieved for reasonable prices, without making compromises with the accessory. We wish you a lot of enjoyable time with this great hobby!

The Seben Navigator II - with its huge 203mm (8“) aperture and enormous focal length of 1000mm – carries on the steady development of the popular Seben Navigator BIG Reflector Telescope series.
Make your dreams come true! The Seben Navigator II is due to its 203mm (8“) aperture a telescope which will suit you a lifetime! It provides sharp and high-contrast images and makes more than 5,650,000 stars visible (faintest discernable star: 14M!!!!) – a must for professional astronomers.
The Seben Navigator II provides you nearly unlimited possibilities, since it's huge aperture of 203mm (8”) makes even the dimmest celestial objects visible. With the Seben Navigator II you will spend unforgettable nights observing the beauties of the Deep Sky:
|
|
|
| |
The most impressive Deep Sky Objects , which can't even be dreamt of with smaller telescopes, can easily be observed with the Seben Navigator II. The Great Nebula in Andromeda (M31), the Whirlpool Galaxy (M51) and the Omega Nebula (M17) are just examples of the many global clusters, galaxies, nebulas and other Messier Objects which become observable. Some of the greater star clusters will already be resolved into singles stars with the Seben Navigator II . Spiral arms of galaxies will become visible and numerous structures of planetary nebulas will become perceptible.
But that's not it - our solar system keeps many precious treasures also:
Jupiter's four largest Galilean moons (Io, Europa, Ganymed and Callisto), which already become visible as small disks with the Seben Navigator II, as well as Jupiter's cloud belts and Red Spot can be observed easily.
The same is valid for Saturn's Rings , the Cassini Division as well as Titan, Iapetus, Rhea and Tethys – some of Saturn's moons.
Observe an abundance of surface details on the moon in brilliant contrast. The Seben Navigator II will reveal secrets of which you can only dream with smaller telescopes!
Even many Martian surface details , in addition to the phases of Mars , as well as the phases of Mercury and Venus can be seen. With good filtering you'll even be able to make out structures of the clouds which surround Venus.
Although Uranus and Neptune require a detailed star map to identify them from their surroundings, they will show their distinctive colors. Finally, Pluto shines faintly at about 13th magnitude.
If one of the planets is visible in tonight's sky, take a moment to gaze its way and say hello to one of your celestial neighbours!
Astrophotography, motor fitting, usage of filters and much more is easily possible because of the 1.25” (31,7mm) accessory-sockets.
Please note, that Seben's Astronomy Products are always provided with a lot of accessories, for which you usually would have to pay a lot of money! Contrary to that, we provide you considerably accessories for FREE!

The Seben Navigator II comes with an extremely sturdy tripod. It's solid equatorial mount – compared with it's already generous dimensioned precursors – has even been reinforced. The mount incorporates a pole finder, which thus doesn't need to be bought additionally!
The 8x50 high-performance finder scope (35% higher light transmission than e.g. 6x30 finder scopes) makes it easier to locate celestial objects in the sky. Once they are spotted with the finder scope, switch to the Seben Navigator II and use it's tremendous magnification ability to bring your observation target into sharp focus.
With the provided 1.25” (31.7mm) 1.5x Erecting Eyepiece , which produces an upright and side correct image, you can make the most memorable terrestrial observations. Animals, birds and landscapes, which would usually appear upside down, can be seen in unimaginable precision.
