This is a 2007 commemorative UK £2 coin issued by the British Mint to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the Act of Union passed in 1707 to bring together the kingdoms of Scotland and England under one Parliament.  The obverse design on the Queen's head is by Ian Rank-Broadley and the reverse designed by Yvonne Holton and symbolises this Union.  The edge is inscribed with the words 'United Into One Kingdom'.
