Dayang DY 200 Motorcycle.
I have been the owner of this since June 2008 and have enjoyed riding it.
Everything is in good condition with exception of the following.
Helmet lock has seized, was like this when i got it.
Before i bought it something happened to the oil cooler pipe and caused an oil leak that wrecked origional engine, so the dealer i bought it off fitted a brand new motor. He changed the engine side case over as the new engine had no lighting coils these engines also fit a GY200 trials bike. He fitted a copper pipe adapter to the new oil line for some reason, but it does the job so its suitable for the purpose.
This is the second one of these i have had, the first one i bought new from LLexeter who are the main importers for these but i sold it as someone gave me a good offer on it. I regretted it, so bought this one, it costed me more than which i sold the other for.
The mileage is only just over 3000 km and new engine was fitted at 2400 when i bought the bike. These are very economical and will return an easy 80-85mpg. As engine is not yet completely run in , i have not pushed it to top speed, but it should top out at about 70mph.
it cruises at 55-60 easily enough with very little throttle. It has an easy 6 speed gearbox, has digital gear indicator in case your unsure which gear.
Engine purrs along nicely. Frame size is quite big for a 200, and has been mistaken on occasion for a 400cc bike.
Engine is a copy of the Honda XL 185 and is made at factory with all old Honda tooling, so is qute robust. they have even fitted bearings in camshaft as these used to run metal to metal in Honda and ware out.
The old engine is included in sale and would be good for spare parts, its not seized and has compression, but i have no idea what damage was done.
Tyres, chain and sprockets show very little sign of ware if any.Spare parts are easily available.
Feel free to leave any offers as buy it now is just a guide price.
As you may have gathered, i will be very sorry to see it go, but if i kept it i will have too many bikes and have a new Royal Enfield Bullet and an electric scooter on the way,
(Ebay can be very addictive to me).
Thanks for looking.
