This car  is the cheapest 55 plate 5 series in the Uk for sale and its still under BMWs unlimited mileage warranty until December 2008, so 8 months warranty left!  This is a £39.000 car that is 2 years and 4 months old selling for half price! MECHANICAL & ELECTRICAL CONDITION

 The 3.0 24V common rail turbo diesel offers 231bhp @ 4000rpm, and a phenominal 500nm of torque from just 2000rpm, the engine starts first time everytime hot or cold, it idles smoothly and revs freely to the red line with no hesitations, knocks, rattles or smoke,  there aren't any oil or coolant leaks and the exhaust system is gas tight. The 6 speed automatic gearbox goes straight into forward or reverse gears with no delays or hard thumps, it changes gear smoothly with no hesitations, "hunting" for gears or slipping, the tiptronic and sport modes work perfectly, the final drive, propshaft and driveshafts are free of any vibrations or whines and operate fine. The power steering is smooth and precise with no judders or pump whines, the suspension is in superb order, with no sloppiness, clonks or rattles evident. The ABS brakes stop the car in a straight line without any steering wheel wobbles, pedal judders, or undue noises and appear to have plenty of service left in them.

All electrical items ie; engine management, ABS, DTC traction control, gearbox modes, lights, wipers, horn etc are working perfectly with no problems to report.

Bad points

The body work on the car I would desribe as good condition for the mileage, Im going to get a full profeshional valet on the car before selling it so it will be spotlessly clean however there are a few marks on the paint work, two on the bonet and some marks on the passenger door, these are minor marks and from a distance of 3 meters away form the car you cant notice them. A few other marks on both bumpers etc and a stone chip on the windscreen.
