This is a Volvo V40 1.8 SE Automatic with Winter Pack (Heated seats, headlamp washers and overcarpets). It really is in fabulous condition considering it's mileage. I bought it in August last year for my dad who is 87. At that time it had covered 124,000 miles and was last serviced at 116,000 (june 2007) including 4 new tyres. He never used it and has given up driving now - so it is for sale. I love the colour scheme and I'm definitely a Volvo person but prefer my V70 manual. It has only covered a bit over a thousand miles since we got it. In that time I have had

* all four brake discs replaced

* Variable Valve Timing pulley, tensioner and cambelt (incuding oil and filter) replaced

* one ABS rotor replaced as the light sometimes came on.

Look at the pictures - apart from a small mark on the front bumper and another on the rear bumper (both no larger than 1" and they are plastic so won't rust)  the bodywork is superb. It has averaged almost 25,000 mles a year so it has a few tiny stone chips but no dents. I have pictures of the two marks which I will send anyone who lets me have an E-address.

The interior would do credit to a  40,000 mile car - it really has been looked after very well.

Mechanically - you may have gathered I'm a bit of a perfectionist!! - It drives lovely, smooth, quiet, 5 speed automatic gearbox changes nicely and the brakes now pull up like a new car. Air conditioning is lovely and cold and the cruise control, heated seats, electric drivers seat, headlamp wipers ets etc all work exactly as they should. It has the standard Volvo radio / cassette / CD player.

The tyres have covered 9,000 miles and the rear ones look no different from new - the front ones are about 5 millimeters - they are all the same make.

It is MOTd until June - I would expect it to pass with no problems whatsoever and it's taxed till August. It was serviced last June but had the cam belt, cam belt tensioner, oil and filter changed in December when the Valve timing gear was replaced.
