Voted “Fun Car of the Year 2005”, the unique Daimler-Benz Swatch designed Smart Roadster first appeared at the 2002 Paris Motor Show. Powered by a 698cc Turbocharged 45 or 60Kw, 3 cylinder Suprex engine, the car had the lowest running costs of any traditionally designed sports car yet built. Production was halted in 2005, with only just over 43,000 having been built, but enthusiasts are hoping that the car may reappear sometime soon with either an MG or an AC Motors badge. We will wait & see!!
