2004 FORD MONDEO GHIA TDCI BLACK NO RESERVE!

Welcome to my NO RESERVE auction for my wife's Mondeo TDCi Ghia .

Good points -

1. This car delivers 42 mpg and is THE most fuel efficient cars I have ever owned. Over Summer we toured France in it covering 3500 hassle free miles and the car delivered 700 miles out of one 60 litre tank. Truly phenomenal !

2. It comes with a full service history and the mechanics are sound and trouble free. This car drives like its straight out of the showroom and handles amazingly. I run a mechanical garage business in London and have had the car meticulously maintained. The disesel engine runs smooth and is extremely quiet. The gearbox is six speed and all gears change smoothly.

3. The body work is in great health and conditiion except for a couple of  tiny dings. The metallic black paint comes complete with chrome weather strips which really sets this car off from the standard mondeos. Please note that the pictures taken were without the car being washed or valeted so the car will look even more stunning once this has been done.

4. The alloys are in great shape and condition with two new tyres put on a couple of months ago.

5. The interior is in great health and condition with walnut veneer dash and black unmarked cloth.

6. It is the Ghia version which is the executive version with lots of extras such as cruise control, folding mirrors and auto lights.

7. It comes with an MOT until July 2010 and tax until February 2010

8. It has only one previous owner.

9. It has amazing boot space. As stated before we went camping in summer over France and managed to fit in the boot a 9 man tent, two sunloungers, three suitcases, three camping chairs and a fridge box. I would say that it is just as practical and has a similar space to a Mercedes estate without of course the car being longer. The reson that my wife is selling it is because she actually wants to upgrage and get a newer Mondeo as she has been converted to these wonderful cars after having driven previously Mercedes, Audis and BMWs. Once you get past any badge snobbery I really have to confess that the Mondeo is an extremely brilliant car and easily compares to any BMWs, Audis or Mercedes I have owned.

Bad points

No real bad points to cause any concern but for the sake of being totally transparent and descrbing the car as honestly as possible please note the following. -

1. The couple of dings on the body work as stated above caused by inconsiderate drivers / parkers down the local supermarket. They are so tiny that I have been unable to photo them.

2. The coat hanger handle at the top of the rear passenger side door is missing. It has never bothered me but you can get a replacement from Ford I guess for about £10

3. Half of  the chrome weather strip on the rear driver's side door window has flaked. It's not massively noticeable and has never bothered me. Once again a replacement from Ford would be around £10.

4. One of the air con buttons has some flaking on it. Once again about £5 from Ford would get you a new button cover.

To summarise this is your chance to get a bargain fantastic condition stunning metallic black Ford Mondeo Ghia version. As stated before, once you overcome any badge snobbery, these cars really rank up there with the best ..
