BMW 320D SE WITH TV
FULL COLOUR NAV
We at Chapelhouse are pleased to offer this stunning
BMW 320d with very rare spec' for sale at price that
dealers and large retail outlets can not compete with,
we keep our overheads low and pass those savings on
to you so this is a bargain waiting to happen, make
it your bargain.
Presented in a gorgeous metallic grey the car has come
to us direct from the fleet of Lex Vehicle Leasing and
so is a ONE OWNER car, we have the V5 in our possession.
The MOT is until April 21st 2009 and the car comes with
a full BMW service history, the servicing was done as
follows 21k, 43k, 60k, 81k, 102k and 123k. Important
things to note this model has a service indicator which
tells you when to service based on how the car is driven
though every 20k is a rough guide. Secondly this model
has no Cambelt changes to worry you and finally having
been serviced at 123k this car has nearly 20k miles
before you need budget for the next service.
So taking into account the above this car has an amazing
provenance and is pure retail stock, the only thing
against it for me is actually a massive plus and that
is the mileage. A BMW diesel will literally run forever
if well serviced and we know this one has been but with
this mileage the car becomes much more affordable, for
example with 60k miles on it this car would retail at
£10495 which for most of us is more than we would
wish to spend on a car even if we could.
All that said we get to the best bit which is this car
has the incredibly rare option of full colour Sat' Nav
and even rarer colour television, having sold many of
these and been offered hundreds I would guess this option
is rarer than 1 in every 100 cars so a great opportunity
to be had here. Being an SE model there is plenty of
other extras to keep you happy including metallic paint,
front and back electric windows, electric heated mirrors,
auto climate control, multi CD changer, traction control,
cruise control, 7 Spoke 17" Alloy wheels, Dynamic
Stability Control, multi function steering wheel, information
trip computer, rear parking sensors the list of spec
on this model is huge.
I took this car on a test drive of about forty miles
and loved it. I am a fan of the BMW diesel anyway and
have driven too many to remember but this one is as
good as any I have driven. Specific to this car the
gear box is smooth and the clutch just as it should
be, not to high and not biting too early, the brakes,
as you would expect from a car with MOT until November
2008 are sharp with no excessive travel. If you have
never driven one of these BMW diesels you will be impressed,
the 150bhp lump gives fantastic low end acceleration
for around town driving, if you like that bit of oomph
this car can supply it diesel or not. On the motorway
they are the ultimate cruisers smooth and comfortable,
I am 6ft and too fat but I have no problem getting comfortable
in these 320s, you can munch up the miles without feeling
like you are.
For me it is hard to spot a weakness because as powerful
substantial motors they have a good safety record, they
are quick if you want them to be and cruise well on
longer journeys. They look good but backed up by the
famous German advanced engineering are synonymous with
reliability and best of all are remarkable on fuel.
Average consumption for this model is given by the industry
as nearly 50mpg but on longer journeys that increases
significantly to over 50mpg, for a car that has so many
assets that is a massive bonus. If you were swapping
to this car from a petrol and you do average annual
miles you could save £1000 per year on fuel costs,
far better in your pocket than Gordon Brown's, worth
thinking about.
When it comes to the condition of the car we have furnished
you with a massive photo gallery to help you form your
own opinion, the camera however does not spot everything
so i have checked the car for you too. All i could find
to mention was stone chips to the bonnet as always,
a screen chip and a small patch on the off side rear
wing about 50 pence size where the lacquer is chipped
away other than that i could find nothing, the car is
in superb condition. The tyres are good all around so
too the alloys (see pics).
The interior is presented in a dark cloth which contrasts
the bodywork perfectly. This too is in great condition,
as I always point out with ex fleet vehicles they have
usually accumulated their higher than average mileage
on the motorways of Britain with just the driver on
board consequently they have interiors that reflect
the age of the car and not the mileage. There are in
fact many advantages to these relatively new but higher
than average mileage cars. Firstly these modern diesel
engines, especially these BMW diesels, will run forever,
but the higher mileage makes the car much more affordable,
this car was well over £20k when new just three
years ago and the Nav system and TV was about £2700
as an extra, you can buy it for a fraction of the price.
Also cars that spend their lives on motorways are running
at optimum temperatures placing less wear and tear on
the engine and all those component parts.
So there you have it, a BMW diesel with massive specification
and fantastic provenance, remember ONE OWNER, FULL BMW
HISTORY, nearly 12 months MOT this is an incredible
car at a very sensible price, do not miss this because
with this spec' you will almost certainly not find another
for a while.
