LOTUS ELISE 'S'
We purchased the car on 1st July 2006, after
a lengthy search for a superb example of an Elise, to use as a third
car. The car has always been reliable and we have a folder of all the
receipts and records. It has always been serviced by Bell and Colvill,
most recently on 7th February 2008. The MOT is until 18th September
2008 and the car is taxed to 31st October 2008.
History:
The
car was first registered on 19th September 2003, to Bell & Colvill
who briefly used it as a demonstrator. They supplied it on 27th October
2003 to the previous owner who was a genuine Lotus enthusiast and
reluctantly needed to sell in 2006 owing to starting a family. The car
has therefore effectively had one previous owner, excluding the
supplying garage.
Before purchasing the car, we had the car
inspected by a Lotus Specialist and an HPI check – both did not reveal
any negative issues. The car came with lots of paperwork relating to
servicing etc and had obviously been very well looked after.
Specification/Features:
The car is finished in magnetic blue with black leather seats and all the usual 'S' specification features:
• Leather seats, leather door inserts and leather gear lever gator.
• Red coloured camshaft cover.
• Electric Windows.
• Central locking.
• Sound insulation.
• Driving lights.
• Extra carpet.
In addition it has:
•
Bell & Colvill fitted sports exhaust and K & N filter. A
dyno-test indicated the engine to be producing 147.7Bhp at 6,142rpm at
the flywheel.
• The front has been treated with Armourfend.
Maintenance/Servicing Records:
The car's Maintenance Record is as follows:
• 1555 – 10th November 2003 – After Sales Service.
• 9204 – 19th May 2004 – 'A' Service
• 18913 – 14th December 2004 – 'A' Service
• 29021 – 31st January 2006 – 'B' Service
• 34682 – 5th February 2007 – 'A' Service
• 36530 – 21st September 2007 – Cam belt replaced.
• 36985 – 7th February 2008 – 'A' Service
The
next service will be due at 45,985 or 7th February 2009 and will be a
'C' Service. However, this will not be a full 'C' service as the cam
belt has already been replaced as scheduled at 4 years. In addition, at
the last service Bell and Colvill advised:
• Front brake pads – 70% life remaining.
• Rear brake pads (and disks) – 50 to 70% life remaining.
• Front tyres 5 to 6mm tread.
• Rear tyres 6mm.
The car is listed as having emissions of only 177g/km and we estimate the car can deliver in excess of 40mpg.
This is a very reluctant sale. We are only selling because increasing family commitments mean lack of time to enjoy the Elise.
Price: £12,995 or very near offer.
