2003 CITROEN C2 VTR AUTO YELLOW

Hi there,

I have here for sale my 2003 Citroen C2 1.6 VTR in Yellow. I ordered the car brand new on the C2 launch weekend in October 2003 so I am the only registered keeper of this vehicle! It was registered on the 10th November 2003 so coming up for 6 years old now. I am only selling as I am looking to upgrade and get something a little bigger now. It really has been a great little car!

It comes complete with a full service history, this was all done at my local Citroen Garage - Hidsons Citroen, Rainham.

It has been serviced at all the regular intervals by the main dealer up until 17th May 2008. After that, I have used a local independent mechanic who has been servicing my families vehicles for as long as I can remember now. I only used him after my quote for an 80,000 service and cam-belt change was so excessive from Citroen that I decided it just wasnt worth it!

The cam belt was changed on 24th July 2009 at 79,806 miles.

It comes with a few optional extras too, all of which were factory fitted.

• Firstly, the air conditioning and climate control
• 5 disc dash mounted CD changer
• Built in European Satellite Navigation
• In car phone system

The car phone system works by slotting your sim card into the dashboard and you can then call and text via the stereo controls. It also has voice activated calling and commands!

Other features on the car include electric folding mirrors, auto locking when you drive off, split rear tail gate and a multifunction display.

The car comes complete with both original keys and the keycode card along with every single bill that I have spent on the car

There are a couple of bad points, on the front skirt just beneath the fog light on the passenger side, there is a small scuff which happened when I parked to close to some automatic gates!

On the drivers door, there is a very small dent on the side of it which happened when the wind caught it and knocked it into a brick wall a few months back! Neither of them are very noticeable until you get up real close to the car, however I have included pictures of them both. You can see from these, just how close I had to get up to the car to make them visible.

As you can see from the pictures, the car has a private plate which is not included in the sale! I have sent off the relevant paperwork to the DVLA to have the plate transferred to my next car, so this will be registered on a 53 plate when the auction ends.

The MOT runs out on the 18th November, however I have had to send the current MOT off with the number plate change form, so I am unable to MOT it until I know the new number plate. I have been told by the DVLA this should be within 7 working days! I will MOT it as soon as I know the new registration, so you will have a full year!!

It still has 6 months road tax which expires 30th April 2010, currently costs £150 for 12 months.

Insurance is pretty cheap as it is only insurance group 6.

Overall the car is in great condition, the interior is pretty much showroom condition, no rips, tears, nothing. It has never been smoked in either. 

It has never wanted for anything, the oil has been changed every 6-8,000 miles.

The alloys are all in good condition, no kerbing, there are just a few slight marks on them, as to be expected with 83,000 miles. This includes the spare wheel which is also an alloy! The tyres all still have a good couple of thousand miles left. Same tyres always put on that it left the factory with!

It gets washed every week, so the paintwork is in great condition, just ask the neighbours, they see me out there without fail! I think in the 6 years of ownership, I have paid twice to have this car cleaned, one was a professional valet when I had the interior washed and shampooed and the other was when I wanted it clean in a hurry, but its never seen a carwash!!!

The car is located approximately 5 minutes from the M2 Junction 5 in Kent.

Please do feel free to come and view the car in person, I wouldnt dream of buying a vehicle without first looking at it, so I'd expect you to do the same!!

The car will be sold to the highest bidder!

Other points I meant to add :

The car is still in use daily so the mileage is going up but only slightly! I dont have too far to drive to work!

The car is advertised for sale locally so it may be withdrawn from here at any time. I do have a couple of people coming to view it during the week.

The VTR model also comes with cruise control! Very unusual in small cars!!

***** UPDATE *****

I have now recieved the paperwork for the new registration and have had the new plates made up and fitted to the car.

The car was put in for an MOT today and passed, so now has just over a years MOT on it, valid until the 18th November 2010.

Please note that the DVLA send out the V5C vehicle registration document out separately and have advised me to wait at least until the 16th November. If you are the winning bidder, I am more than happy to draw out an invoice stating the date and time it was sold to you and take down your details to fill in on the registration document when it arrives. I will then forward it to you via recorded delivery so that you can then sign it and send it off! I still have the old style registration document that you can take with you however, this cannot be sent off as it has the old registration number on it!

Please note, this is a genuine sale and I am not trying to pull any scams, I had no idea it was this involved changing over a private plate.
