Hi,
You are bidding on my 2002 Piaggio NRG. My dad brought it for me when i decided i wanted to learn to ride because he thought it would get the idea out of my system, but it didn't and i've gone out and brought myself a motorbike now which was what i wanted in the first place! When i got it, it had been stolen recovered and repaired by the previous owner. They bypassed the electric start system with a light switch which means it is now just kick start. They told my dad it would be easy to fix but i don't know how and so i haven't tried. The plastics had been scraped so my dad had them resprayed which is why it has no stickers and the little side panels are missing from the front. As far as i know it was never registered with an insurance company as being stolen recovered.
The mot expired a few days ago but i have hardly ridden it since the last mot. I had it started briefly this afternoon, i think it just needs a new spark plug and cap. It had a new battery a few months ago. Once you get it going it should go through an mot but i am not promising this. It is taxed until the end of june.
The side stand doesn't stay up, i brought a new one to go on it but i have never got around to putting it on. I may do this before auction ends and i will let you know if i have.
There are some new lock barrels for it, but as i have never sorted the ignition i have not tried to fit these. The seat latch is also missing so if you wanted to put things in it and lock them you would have to get a new underseat. It missing a few fixing screws and half of them are not the correct ones so you may want to buy some of the right ones, everything is secure though.
I also have an haynes manual but it's a bit tatty. there is some service history with it although it isn't complete.
The bike is not road legal as it has no mot and so will have to be collected in a van or on a trailer. I may be able to arrange delivery if it's not too far away for petrol money. i'd need to know before hand if you would like this as i'd have to ask my partners dad.
You bid to buy, not to kick tryres. Any non paying bidders will receive negative feedback and will be reported. I would prefer cash but i will except cheques or bankers drafts so long as they have cleared before collection. I will also accept paypal but due to the fees i will have to share that cost with you.
Any questions feel free to ask!

Please bare this in mind when you bid! I suspect it may just be the kick mechanism however i am not a mechanic and have.
