Hi and thanks for looking at our listing for this Year 2001 Mercedes 320CLK Avantgarde. This is a March 2001 car and comes with a Full Service History, clear HPI Report, MOT to March of next year, has just had its AMG alloys refurbished so they look as good as new......this really is a lovely car and comes in one of the most desirable colour combinations, ie Quartz Blue metallic with a Blue Soft-top and light Grey Leather interior. 

By way of background we are Chiltern AutoLease, a small Leasing company based in Berkshire....this 320CLK  has just come into us as it was used as deposit against a new vehicle that the customer has just taken from us on a 36 month lease.

The majority of our cars are sent to auction for disposal, however, for the really nice cars, such as this one, we offer them for sale through E-bay and Autotrader.

PRICING

Car is being advertised for £10,495...........compared to a lot of other CLK Cabrios on e-bay, some with higher mileages and less specification, this CLK is very competitively priced, especially when you also bear in mind its condition, specification and the fact that its recently had its AMG Alloys professionally refurbished at a cost of £275+vat, has been recently serviced and has had new front pads and discs (service £250 + brakes £300), comes with 10 Months MOT and lastly that we will also provide a 3 month piece of mind Warranty on the car.....if the car sells at the competitive Buy It Now price we will upgrade the warranty to 12 months.

As the car is being advertised with a Buy It Now price, you can do just that, ie Buy It Right Now, without having to wait to the end of the listing period. SPECIFICATION

This is the desirable Avantgarde specified car, so comes with the slightly sportier suspension, ie slightly lowered, fatter anti roll bars etc and it also has the black birds eye maple wood inlays in the interior to give it a sportier look. Its also fitted with, what is considered to be the best all round engine in the CLK range, namely the 320 V6 engine which produces 220bhp and drives through a 5 Speed Tip-Tronic Automatic Gearbox.

The reason this engine is so popular is that its a much nicer/smoother sounding engine that the smaller 230K....if you are in two minds about which engine to choose, then it really is a good idea to try both before you buy.......there is a world of difference between the two and once you have tried a 320 its hard to justify going for the 230, especially when you consider that they both have very similar fuel consumptions.

At the last service, the car had new pads and disks fitted (£300) and in January of this year it had the Air Mass Meter replaced at a cost of £200...for anyone familiar with Mercedes V6 engines you will know that the Air Mass Meter sensor has a habit of failing at anywhere from 60,000 + and as you can see they are not cheap to replace......its nice to know that this car has recently had its replaced.

Service Indicator on the car is showing a minimum of another 4500 miles to go before it requires its next service.

Tyres....all have lots of tread left on them and should not need replacing for 10,000 miles +.....depending on how you drive it!

PLEASE NOTE: Car will be supplied with a decent 3 month used car warranty (will be upgraded to 12 monthsif the car sells for its Buy It Now Price).....if you look at most cars being sold on e-bay you don't get offered Warranties!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Car has also just been recently MOT'd so comes with 10 months MOT.

On the Road

Car starts instantly and performs exactly as it should, ie pulls away with no hesitation, nice smooth changes from the Auto Box. Kick down is instant and there are no groans or squeaks from the suspension.

Brakes pull you up nice and firm and the car does not get hot in traffic.

Performance on this car will put a grin on your face.....if you kick down the car will absolutely fly down the road.

The powered roof works perfectly and all of the electric windows go down as they should when the hood is being lowered and they all go back up once the hood has been raised.

The hood itself is in excellent condition with no fraying or wear to the exterior or interior......Mercedes probably make the best soft tops in the business and I've never heard of one having to be replaced.

Bodywork and Interior

Again......its all very good throughout....in fact I would go so far to say that its in excellent condition with no scuffs to bumpers and no dinks and dents to any of the side panels.

Interior wise, its again good news with a very clean and unmarked interior. Car has not been smoked in.

All in all this car has been very well looked after.

As I have already mentioned the AMG Alloys have been professionally refurbished and look superb. In common with many AMG Alloys the laquer on the diamond cut outer rims had clouded and really let the car down, hence the reason why they have been refurbished.
