2001 'Y' BMW 520SE (2.2) AUTO

I am the second owner from new, the car was previously a company car and has some service history. It was my pride and joy, but a change in my personal circumstances mean I cannot afford to have the car repaired and 'roadworthy' for the next MOT. It really has been a pleasure to own. There is no outstanding finance or HP on the car, nor is it stolen/recovered. It has clear lens rear cluster, angel eyes headlamps, CD Changer, climate control/aircon, cruise, multi function steering wheel (M Tech), professional nokia hands free kit.The engine is bullet proof with 160k but regularly serviced and maintained, the tiptronic autobox is faultless and the car has no other mechanical defects or problems.

The Bad Bits

• As the front discs were failing, the 'rusty dust' has coated the front alloys. The front discs have been replaced (and pads) the rears have started to go and will need replacing. Again the 'rusty' particles have coated the rear bumper and so the car's paintwork needs attention.
• The car was damaged in a car park and the offside rear passenger door now needs replacing.

In all, the car needs new rear discs, rear door replacement and the paintwork/alloys will need attention, new/reconditioned ABS module.

My best advice is if you are local to Southport, please feel free to come and view the vehicle. The pictures show how the car did look less than 3 months ago and how it can look with some tlc and probably less than a £1000 spending on it.

As I've no option but to sell, I'm setting a NO RSERVE auction - the car is worth at least £1500 to break for spares; so I'll be expecting offers around that. Obviously the Ebay rules would deter me from mentioning part exchange or my love of motorbikes. But I do need transport! Cars of this age and mileage in better condition are fetching 3,000 - 3,500 so its one to buy as a project if you have the skills and time.
