This Volvo V70 SE Auto Estate was bought by us, new from the dealer on 21st Jan 2000 and has a full service history. It was serviced by the main Volvo dealer for the first three years and thereafter by an award winning local independent garage. We are selling it because we are buying exactly the same model again but with a lower mileage from a friend. It has never let us down and has never been in an accident of any sort.
It has a fitted tow bar, but don’t panic it hasn’t been dragging big loads around. The bar was fitted to accommodate a bike rack. So, hardly a strain on chassis and engine.
It comes with black leather interior, and the interior is extremely clean. It has air conditioning, ABS, roof rails, winter pack and luxury pack which includes a trip computer, which I thought was a waste of time when we first got it but am now very pro having this information available. It has heated seats. Metallic paint. CD player, alloy wheels, cruise control. At the end of March we put two new front tyres on the car.
It has done 142,747 miles and the M.O.T. is valid until Jan 12th 2009. It is taxed until the 31st December 08. It is the 2.5 litre 10 valve. SE version of this car.
Now the things that are wrong with it to the best of our best knowledge.
A cracked left headlight. That happened last night which is a pain. A stone chip in the windscreen on the passenger side, which has been treated. There are some edge bumper scrapes where the paint has come adrift off the plastic, but no other damage and not a single dink in any of the body panels or the roof. There is a small amount of rust on the rear edge of the left rear passenger door. The lights on the gear shift panel are intermittent. There is a sensor light which will not go away. We have had it re-set by our garage, who have confirmed that the price of a replacement sensor is nearly £300 fitted, so because it does not reflect a problem with the car and only the sensor we have not had it fixed. I can stand looking at a light for the sake of £300. There are some small spots of white paint on the drivers seat.
Thanks for looking and good luck.

Today, of all days, (though it's better that it happened to me whilst I own the car rather than having just sold it), The SRS light came on on the dash and the air conditioning has stopped working. In the words of Victor Meldrew, "I can't believe it!" I have just picked up the car from our garage in Exminster and they had filled up the aircon but say there is a further problem and the light refers to the seatbelt pre-tensioning system. I do not have the time or certainly the inclination now to have these problems fixed so have reduced the reserve right down to allow for anyone to pay for the repairs. It has not puit me off this model I am still going to buy the same one again, but bloody hell, what timing! I'm off for a gin and tonic. At least the sun is shining.

The air-conditioning started working again today, so please be informed that it is intermittent, not knackered.
