2000 PEUGEOT 306 MERIDIAN HDI (90) SILVER

I bought this car for my other half from a friend at work who had had it since it was brand new. It wasnt quite what she was looking for as we have always had 4x4's as a second car, but, as i'd personaly known the car for the last 6 years and that it had proven to be very reliable and never once failed an MOT, plus my friend let me have it for the part-ex price he'd been offered from a dealer, she gave it go.

Unfortunately she has now decided that she ' must ' have a 4x4 again.... so here the car is on ebay!.. lol.

As you can see from the pictures, its a silver blue meridian edition 306 estate. Its got receipts for pretty much anything that it has needed from when my mate bought it until now. Most recent things was a new set all round of brake discs and pads and some new track rod ends that i had done at my local garage about a month ago. Again, i have the reciepts for this. It went through an MOT last month without any advisory note being issued. It was also recently taxed for six months so can be driven away for another 12 months of hassle free motoring!.

Prior to us having the car for the last few months, my friends wife was using the car from new to commute to work hence the high milage  but its done that on lower wear and tear motorways/dual carriage ways.

Good Points and Features:

One owner since new until last couple of months and well maintained with reciepts to show!.

Very reliable and sought after peugoet Hdi engine that goes like a rocket propelled grenade and returns around the 45-50mpg (depending how heavy your right foot is).

Bad Points:

Lets face it, it isnt a new car anymore so does have the odd stone chip, car park scuff and other minor small dings and dongs. Vast majority of which will go with a bit of T-Cut.

The drivers seat has worn a bit on the side as is usual with part leather seated cars of this age but all other seats are in very good condition and thats the only part of the seat thats showing any wear and tear (pics on request as i forgot to take one when doing the rest of the car!).

2 Days ago the remote central locking stopped working. The drivers side door lock wont open to the key either so i think its just got stuck and needs freeing up which shouldnt be a big deal and this morning i just opened the car with the key in the passenger side which works fine so its prob just an easy fix for someone or a local garage. As i knew we were going to sell the car i wont bother getting it done ive just knocked £100 off of the price i was going to put it on here for so that should be more than enough to cover it.

Occasionaly the warning light for the water level comes on the dash but it disappears after a few minutes driving and according to my friend who owned it before me its been doing that since 4 years old and 100k miles ago and his local dealer said it was fine to ignore it. 

The air con no longer blows cold. Probably just needs gas as this is the usual reason but as the temperature hasnt exactly been balmy recently ive not had the need to get it looked at.

To sum up ive tried to be as brutally honest as i can about the car. Bear in mind that its just flown through an MOT without a single advisory notice which is usually the best way to tell if a car is going to be a total money pit or not. Its only had one (and a bit) owners its whole life and has been very well looked after.

Viewing is not only possible is strongly recommended as it really is a cracking car and its hard to tell that from pictures so please, if you can view, then drop me an email and i'll let you know when its ok to pop over.

The car is in daily use so milage is subject to a slight change but is correct at time of listing and as im not planning any trips to the moon anytime soon its not going to go up that much! lol.

No overseas bidders please and remember if you hit the buy it now, YOU'VE BOUGHT THE CAR and not the right to come and look as it, kick the tyres, then wander off mumbling 'its not for me'.... .
