Please Note:
This bike has all round light/medium cosmetic damage due to low impact drop. Following the birth of a new born baby girl I have been strongly advised to sell the bike and do not have the time to repair this (so I've been told). Despite the numerous areas of damage from experience to repair this back to its original excellent condition would cost as little as £200-300, plus of course a little bit of bike know how and patience.
As mentioned the good points about this bike is its relatively low mileage and with regular servicing (reflected in the service book) it is an excellent runner, the engine is in A1 conditon and the bike has never failed to start, or an MOT. Despite the cosmetic damage it does not affect the ride at all in its current state. This I can confidently state as I have already taken it out for a few runs since the good weather started.
I've tried to be as honest as possible, I'm not a trader and do not want to gain negative feedback so have run this auction over a slightly longer time than normal to allow any bidder to ask any relevant questions etc...
The areas of damage are:
- LHS fairing scratched and cracked
- RHS fairing light scratches with hairline
- Headlight (one fixing lug missing / easily repairable)
- Nose cone fairing (one fixing lug missing – easily repairable - and 2” crack by headlight which has been professionally welded)
- Slight scuff mark under “N” on rear fairing
- Scuff on left handbar
- Scuff on engine casing
All of these could either be repaired or replacement parts sourced through the likes of bike traders or dealers - however for the patient ones you could use ebay for a fraction of the price. Because I am confident that this bike is an excellent runner, and the damage can be easily repaired (by the right bidder) I am fairly reluctant to let this go too cheaply, so I have chosen a fairly reflective starting bid.
Please feel free to contact regards any questions you may have or to arrange an inspection or test drive (for those that are serious and have the necessary funds in place).
Following the agreed sale the bike is sold as seen, buyer collects within a week of auction close and a deposit of £200 paid on auction close. This is merely to protect me more than anything.
On 17-May-08 at 13:29:01 BST, seller added the following information:A fair bit of paperwork to evidence previous service and all MOT documents available.
There is also a after market SCORPION exhaust complete with downpipe for anyone that is willing to offer the right price. Not sure how much its worth but if you fancied it this could be included in the price of the bike (or I'll be puting this on separately).
On 18-May-08 at 13:49:21 BST, seller added the following information:Did I forget to say that the bike also:
- Tail tidy
- 2 x Bridgestone tyres (good for approx 1000 - 2000 miles)
To those that have Bid already (you've found what the reserve is but this bike is worth more than that - to give you an idea of the how inexpensive it can be to replace with good second hand parts I've noticed that there is currently a LHS panel (in Firecracker Red) in VGC on ebay at the moment see number 200224786146 - SODS LAW that this fairing has come up now!!!!!
On 22-May-08 at 10:11:37 BST, seller added the following information:There is also a fairly new OXFORD cover that comes with the bike - clearly I wont be needing this so this can be included in the price for the winning bidder (approx cost £60 new).
