Fiat Coupe 20 Valve Turbo

Here we have a Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo in Silver with contrasting Black Leather interior.

This car is rare as it is one of the last, V5 shows date of 1st reg. being 01-03-2000. It comes with a 6 Speed manual box and the starter button normally found on the Plus or LE models, though this is neither of those. It also comes with the later (far nicer) style alloys.

The Red Key & Code Card are present along with the blue/silver key & 2 x keyfobs for the remote central locking.

I purchased this car 1 month ago to replace my previous 20vt which somebody kindly wrote off for me with a forklift! It is a much smoother more refined drive than my old 1998 5sp car, more economical too! Pulls & cruises very smoothly, no smoke or rattles that I've noticed. Other than the Powerflow s/s exhaust (very quiet by the way!) it is completely standard & un-molested as far as I can tell.

It looks like the car was originally purchased in Germany by a (Naval?) Doctor who brought it in as a personal import. The service book is German but it has a UK V5 & service history virtually from day one.     

The reason I am selling it so soon is that I have finally decided to compete in motorsport & am now on the hunt for a Caterham 7 - the Coupe is a GREAT car but sadly no use as a towcar! I am NOT interested in p/x thank you so please don't ask

The car has covered approx 103,000mls which if you know about these cars is nothing AS LONG AS they have been looked after.

6 months tax & fresh 12mth MOT when I bought it (I have the failure notice - this shows n/s/f coil spring broken (replaced) and advisory notice which shows rear tyres worn close to legal limit, rear brake pads wearing thin). Neither of these are major expenses, just normal wear & tear.

There is a JVC CD Receiver fitted which matches the silver strip on the dash quite niceley.

Usual 20vt spec with electric windows, power steering, tilt steering wheel, remote central locking, alarm & immobiliser, full set of mats PLUS Black Leather in v.good condition, airbags and aircon etc. The aircon control does need a little attention, nothing major just the rotary control is loose. The fan is also a little noisy but again my local Fiat/Alfa specialist has told me this shouldn't be a major job.

Downsides, well this an 8yr old car thats done 103,000mls!

The bonnet is stone chipped & ideally wants respraying (I wouldn't as it will only chip again)

The roof needs respraying (must have been resprayed at some point & it hasn't taken?) The roof on my last one was scratched where I presume people had placed bags etc on it - downside of being so low I guess!

Passenger door has minor scrape - this hasn't shown up very well in the photo despite my best efforts

Some of the wheels have been kerbed - see photos

One of the drivers side rear light clusters has very slight corrosion, much less than my last one - a very common & easily rectified thing on these

The petrol filler cap has slight corrosion & lacquer peel - this is common & easy to fix if you are REALLY picky!

If you want an immaculate Coupe you're going to be hard pressed to find one I'm afraid & if you do you'll pay for it - this would make  a great everday driver or a very good base car if you wanted to bring it up to immaculate condition.

I have tried to be as accurate and honest as possible, when you bid you bid to buy NOT to come round & tyre kick/haggle!

Absolutely NO test pilots unless you can prove Comprehensive Insurance cover first though I will drive you if you're serious about the car.
