Vellum Indenture by way of Mortgage dated 24th June 1800 PARTIES - WILLIAM FLOWER (Chapman) of Manchester in the County of Lancaster (1) and JOHN HOPE (YEOMAN) of Hulme in the said County (2) PROPERTY - A plot of land containing 2555 square yards fronting Oxford Street Manchester If you are looking for an old Indenture I believe this really looks the part. The document is written in an old type of script and has some areas of ageing stains and the outer page is a little soiled which in my opinion, unusually, enhances rather than detracts from the document. It consists of one sheet measuring approximately 82 x 61 x centimetres. The front page has two blue duty paid stamps in one strip, one red sealing wax seal and the signature of William Flower. The reverrse has the signatures of THOS. JOHNSON and GEORGE PERCIVAL as witnesses and a receipt for the mortgage advance of £500.00 .__________________________________________________________ Have tried to interpret all the relevant information as accurately as possible, but if you should have any queries please contact me and I will be only too happy to clarify. Please Note: All the Documents I sell are originals - not copies ! (weights have been added to corners/edges of Document to aid Photography) Thanks for Looking !
