Carrier Enhancement Agent & HLCC Minoxidil 5%
Minoxidil has been FDA proven to increase hair growth. Many people do not experience maximum benefit. Why? (see a graphic example)
Product preparation- Minoxidil available over the counter is up to 70% by volume alcohol, which acts as a drying agent. When it dries on the hair, it weakens the shaft and can’t be absorbed. Because of the high alcohol content; dry, brittle, damaged hair is created that doesn’t repair itself. Hair above the scalp is not living tissue and cannot be repaired once it is damaged.
Poor Education (Doctors and Patients) - Pharmacia & Upjohn provided no means of patient monitoring for Minoxidil effectiveness. The result of this is many patients are unable to evaluate results and are inclined to discontinue the use of Minoxidil. At HLCC, we offer monitoring and monthly check ups at no additional cost. This includes all future check ups (we like to see you every 1 to 2 months), digital pictures and microscopic pictures and analysis and scalp evaluations. We want you to know exactly and scientifically how your treatments are working so together we can adjust your treatment plan to how you respond to treatments (everybody responds a little differently). We customize each program to accommodate your specific hair loss needs, goals and budget. We offer free monthly scientific checkups and digital pictures.
How to use: Already mixed (Minoxidil with Carrier Lotion) You now have 90ml – Use 1ml per day for 90 days for better results.
1) Carrier Enhancement Agent The carrier lotion is the result of years of research and development. The carrier maintains Minoxidil in a liquid state longer allowing it to penetrate down into the follicle where it will have the maximum effect on the growth of the hair shaft. Use of the carrier lotion allows you to use less Minoxidil to achieve a larger effective dosage level by converting it into a lotion that is more easily absorbed. Pharmacia & Upjohn Company recommends using 2ml of Minoxidil daily but because of the improved delivery system, the amount of Minoxidil needed was significantly reduced (by 50%) to 1ml daily. What Hinders Minoxidil from Working Well
1. Sebum from sebaceous gland blocks the hair follicle.
2. Minoxidil therefore, cannot penetrate through the sebum as easily to get to the dermal papilla (where hair growth occurs).
3. Minoxidil (which contains 70% alcohol) stays on the surface causing, in many cases, irritation and itching of the scalp and drying of the hair shaft. Minoxidil works at the dermal papilla, not on the scalp surface.
Limited Penetration = Limited Results!

Helping Minoxidil to Work Better
1. Utilize HLCC Scalp Therapy Dexpanthenol 12% to break up and dissolve sebum.
2. Dexpanthenol also hydrates the Stratum Corneum layer (outer layer of skin on the scalp) making it more permeable to gases and liquids, such as Minoxidil.

How Did We Improve Minoxidil?
1. After Dexpanthenol has hydrated the outer layer and dissolved the sebum, Minoxidil in carrier solution penetrates down to the dermal papilla. Remember, Minoxidil only works at the dermal papilla level, not on the scalp, so if it can’t penetrate it can’t work to re-grow hair.
2. Carrier Enhancement Agent is a product which neutralizes the alcohol in Minoxidil, while maintaining it in a liquid state to allow for better penetration, less irritation, and dryness of the scalp. Use of the carrier lotion allows you to use less Minoxidil to achieve a larger effective dosage level by converting it into a lotion that is more easily absorbed. Because of the improved delivery system, the amount of Minoxidil needed was significantly reduced (by 50%) to 1ml daily.

*Minoxidil is available at HLCC/CHR in several strengths from 2% - 15% and can be mixed with Saw Palmetto and Finasteride for even better results.
