ITEM FOR SALE......

On offer here is a bit of an unknown quantity for me, as I am certainly no expert when dealing with early 20th century albums, but up for auction are TWO VINTAGE examples of "EARLY 20th Century SKETCH & POETRY ALBUMS" dating from the circa 1920 era. The sketch book belonged to Richard Harker of Keighley, West Yorkshire, and has mostly blank pages, but there are approx 16 colour sketches, of a very naive standard, but they are of the time, and provide an insight into someones life and hobby, from around 90 years ago. The poetry book (possibly crocodile/snakeskin covers? & gold tipped pages) has a comprehensive selection of hand written poetry, all written in the same, stylish, flowing hand, and although I cannot be sure, I feel they are all original poems. Undated, but as it was among the other autograph books I have listed, I am assuming it is circa 1920. SEE THE PHOTOS FOR EXAMPLES OF THE CONTENTS OF THE BOOKS. These are two of several autograph/poetry/sketch albums I obtained recently, so keep an eye on my future listings.

Considering the vintage of these two albums, the condition is generally VG, with just light handling wear to the covers.
