COTTAGE and CASTLE 

 DESCRIPTION:

* 2 WARWICK MINIATURE HISTORICAL REPLICA PEWTER WEAPONS *

These are 1/12" scale miniature weapons. They have been cast in the finest English pewter and great care has been taken to reproduce in miniature a true replica down th the finest detail of the original. The weapons have been intricately and authentically hand painted. This set includes a 15th Century Buttet Crossbow with arrow and a Scottish Shield with Sword. The photos do not do these fine replicas justice in that we did not unseal them from their clear plastic original packaging. These are new items in excellent condition that were purchased as stock for a gift shop in the 1980's but have remained in storage ever since. The were made in England by Warwick Miniatures as part of their 1/12th scale toy, animal, tableware and antique collection. The company still makes miniatures but we are told that the older ones were crafted with much more detail and better craftsmanship than the current products. Also the artist's hand painting is much more detailed and finer than now done on the very few pieces that are actually hand painted currently. As far as we know these particular items are no longer in production.
