TWO VINTAGE BIRMINGHAM FULLY HALLMARKED SOLID SILVER NAPKIN RINGS.

These are two quite different solid silver napkin rings, both of which are fully hallmarked and both of which have been well used. The patterned ring is inscribed "JAB" on the front and is hallmarked between the pattern - an anchor (for Birmingham), The Lion Rampant (denoting silver) and the date letter "f" (1948). The ring is approx. 1 and 5/8ths inches in diameter and 3/4 inch tall and is in good condition having no dents or dings. The plain ring has had a harder life and the hallmark is harder to read - see photo - an anchor (Birmingham) The Lion Rampant (Silver) and the date letter is quite rubbed but I think it is a"v" for 1920 but it could be earlier. The ring is 1.5" in diameter and just under 0.5" tall and it does have some very mini dings and also needs a polish. For reference purposes the two rings weigh 18gms. on my digital letter scales.
