We discovered this articulating human frame and were amazed at the care that went into its design.  We have created our own armatures for
stop frame and clay animation, and know how difficult it is to make a useable bipedal frame.  We have found these units to be perfect for teaching animation to children, yet satisfying to use as adults.  You can use them as they come out of the box, or cover them with a layer of clay, foam, clothes, etc to personalize your character.

The chest and feet are die-cast metal and the rest of the frame is rugged plastic.  There are 32 joints that allow for incredibly natural and complex movements.

Each joint is carefully designed to hold position and weight load.  The joints are also accessible with a small screwdriver (for those of us who like to tinker and fine tune things).  The weight distribution and footprint area are engineered to create a highly stable character, yet one which has pleasing proportions. We added rubberized magnets to the feet, and there are other modifications that can be made for specific effects or animation sequences.
