Pair of 3 inch Slater pattern, mahogany and brass Starback vintage reels with optional check and twin horn handles on each reel.

One reel has line guide marked R Heaton patent and inner spool has brass edging.  This reel has some old screw holes where the line guide has been moved to different positions (see pics).  Reel seat unmarked and undamaged (as made).  Spool runs very smoothly and is in fine condition.

Second reel is in excellent condition with no damage and spool runs very smoothly. Reel seat unmarked and undamaged (as made).

On both reels the catches work well separating the spools.  No splits in the horn handles and these turn easily.

Both reels show a light patina of age and are not highly polished or varnished.

These reels have been in my collection for the last 40 years and have never been used in that time.  Reason for selling: I am reducing my collection.

These items will be sent by Royal Mail, securely packaged, recorded and insured.
