What is Encaustic Art
Encaustic art is the technique of applying coloured waxes, melted with hot tools, onto, in this case, a non-porous surface. The resulting designs have a textured finish. Each topper is sealed with a clear acrylic medium to prevent the wax being scratched.
Encaustic Art and Me
I have been doing Encaustic Art for about 3 years and find it a terrific craft – very therapeutic. These toppers are obviously on a very small scale but I do produce larger artwork, up to A3 size. I combine this art with my other crafts - card making and scrapbooking.
About the Toppers
Each picture is unique, as it can never be reproduced exactly the same. The encaustic artwork has been mounted on backing card to make it complete for sticking straight onto you greetings card or other projects. The overall dimensions are approximately 85mm x 115mm, ideal for A6 size cards but could be used on DL or A5 size. You can, of course, always add extra layers of backing card to give more of a raised look. I have tried to match the backing card to the subject of the picture. If, however, the colour does not suit your project, the border can always be carefully trimmed off and your own coloured card stuck on behind it.

Terms and Conditions
Payment
Payment is required within three (3) days following the close of an auction.
Payment for "Buy Now" items is required at the time of purchase.
UK - I prefer to be paid by PayPal but I will accept personal/business cheques. Please note that the item will not be sent until the cheque has cleared and I can only pay cheques into the bank on Fridays so this may cause a further delay.
Rest of the World – I will only accept PayPal.
Returns
Returns will be accepted within 14 days if the goods are damaged for faulty provided the internal packing is unopened. A refund will be given less the original postal fee.
Postage and Packing
UK: 1st class will always be used unless otherwise requested. Recorded delivery or 2nd class can be requested. I will invoice for 1st class and if you request otherwise via e-mail, I will re-invoice with the postage altered accordingly.
Rest of World: Please request a price, via e-mail, for the postage before you bid on an item.
Please note: As I firmly believe in recycling I will re-use packing materials if they are in good condition.
Multiple items: A postage and packaging cost reduction will be given at the time of invoicing for multiple items that are purchased on the same day. Please wait for me to send you an invoice before you pay when you are buying more than one item.
Proof of Postage: I will always get proof of postage when sending items out which you can request a copy of in the event of a problem. I cannot be held responsible for items that are not delivered by the postal service.
