Switch ON the button at the bottom of the solar panel to "activate" the battery (even if you do not use the light, you need to turn it on during charging).
The LED light is off during daytime when it is being charged, and turns on automatically when the surrounding gets dark.
To ensure the battery can be efficiently charged, please put the solar panel directly exposed to the sun, so it is better to place the panel outdoors.
Remark: The unit has a power preserving feature that turns the light off automatically when there is light around, hence, please avoid placing the solar panel next to a light that's lit during the night.
Precautions:
Keep the surface of the solar panel clean so as to attain the best charging result.
Clean the surface of the solar panel with soft cloth without any organic chemicals.
Never rub the surface of the solar panel with hard objects to avoid scratches and damage.

We have checked the item before dispatch. The light works perfectly. When you test the light, try to uncoil the light with good care at a stable place; the key point is not to let the wires become detached from the bulbs, which can lead to malfunction of the bulbs or short-circuit (which is misuse of the product, and will not be eligible for returns or refund).
