The Caribou Leather Briefcase: in Black

Are you looking for a classic but fashionable leather gear bag/briefcase? Not the froo-froo kind though. I'm talking about the more rugged style of leather bags. The kind that you would expect to see in an Indiana Jones movie. The kind of briefcase that would tell amazing stories if it could talk. The kind of briefcase that isn't made on an assembly line, but instead is made stitch by individual stitch in a more personal setting.
 
The Caribou briefcase is the result of 3 years of research and experimentation; It is inspired from saddlebags carried by the U. S. Cavalry from the 1850's in the Old West! But it is contemporary for the modern time's needs.

This leather briefcase features Full Grain Organic Leather in BLACK with buckles and straps and plenty of room for hiding secrets and technology- no plastic zipper to get broken. Even the lining does not disappoint; no synthetic fabric to be found, but beautiful lambskin and pigskin. This bag is quite possibly the most beautifully crafted thing I had even seen-hand stitched with sturdy nylon thread.


The Caribou briefcase has a large flap that is held closed by three straps with buckles. You don't have to fasten all three buckles though. For daily use, you can just fasten the middle buckle and tuck the outer straps under

Main Compartment: 16" Wide 11" Tall by 5" Deep (It can fill out to much more); Room for books, laptop, clothes, whatever you need for a day or a weekend.

Second Compartment: 16" Wide by 11" Tall by 4" deep

External side pocket for keys, phone, GPS, PDA, pens, etc.

Side straps have been designed for ease of maneuverability and for the securing of newspapers, umbrellas, etc.

Heavy-Duty Rivets strategically placed in areas of high stress.

Classic handle designed both aesthetically and ergonomically for ease of carrying.

High-stress points reinforced with a double thickness (some areas quadruple) of thick rugged cowhide and steel retaining clips.

The Shoulder Strap pad is designed with layers of thick cowhide for strength, durability and comfort.

Backpack Feature: By unclipping the shoulder strap, running it through the leather loop on the top of the bag behind the handle, and then clipping the snaps to the rear lower D rings, the Caribou can be converted to a backpack.

This Caribou is made with such care that any one can be handed down from generation to generation with proper care.
Our leather is full grain, vegetable tanned and hand dyed. Each Leather hide is hand-rubbed, leaving the grain visible, enhancing the strength and beauty gained from the vegetable tanning process and giving our bags a strong natural look, and as a result each Caribou bag is a one-of-kind with its own unique character. When it comes to luggage it's all about the journey's and years add character.
