2 BAKELITE ERA ROPE CARVED MOCHA GALALITH BANGLES

    True, mid century Galalith/Casein bracelets.
   Vintage pieces from France, late 1940's - early 1950's.
       These bracelets are visibly carved in a dramatic twisted rope pattern, then resin washed for additional depth and texture.
The resin wash is a muted Mocha / Khaki.
A gorgeous, elegant look.  The hand work is so very apparent when held.
         These are from a carton found with a lively brocanteur in Saumur in the Loire Valley. I was happy to take them all.
A fine example of sophisticated workmanship from a bygone era.
            Each is chunky bangle is  11/16 inch in width.
The openings are 2 and 5/8 inches across.
I have gently washed these bracelets to remove dust and grime.
Condition is easily very good to excellent.
