This is a truly breathtaking ruby and diamond cross, of the most exemplary quality. It is set with a whopping 2.00 carat of natural, earth-mined square-cut rubies. They are of indisputably superb colour, described within the trade as pigeon blood red: This is an utterly delectable, rich and intense shade of red, and it is the rarest and most valuable ruby hue. The cross is also set with a lavish collection of natural, earth-mined diamonds, weighing a total of 0.95 carat. They are of approximate rare white colour F, which means that they are tremendously pure white and bright. Colour F is right at the top-end of the diamond colour-grading scale. They are also of approximate excellent VS1 clarity, which means that they are particularly clear and clean stones. There are 24 round brilliant-cut diamonds, which exhibit the wonderful animation and sparkle for which this cut well-known. And there are 24 baguette-cut diamonds. These stones give a most contemporary and sophisticated air to the cross, with their elongated lines and flashes of light. The cross and 16-inch chain are heavily-made of solid, fully-hallmarked, rich 18ct white gold, to best compliment the colour of the rubies and diamonds. The cross measures a generous 22mm x 17mm (7/8 inch x 11/16 inch) and has an in-built bale. The settings allow plenty of light to access the underneath of the stones, affording them even more brightness and lustre. This item will come in a good quality black, velvet-lined presentation box. Despite its exceptional quality, it represents excellent value for money. You will not be able to find anything like it, for a comparable price elsewhere.
