biketape is made by 3M and is their highest specification ‘helicopter' or 'leading edge' tape – it’s actually intended for aircraft use. It's totally transparent and extremely tough. It is easy to apply and formulated to be UV resistant so it will not yellow in sunlight – guaranteed! There is no better or more trusted helicopter tape available.

Used on your bike it protects from chips & scratches. It can be used on the frame and key components such as forks and cranks. This keeps your bike looking good as new and helps retain value.

It can protect from general riding scuffs and scratches, heel & cable rub, crashes, and transportation damage. For downhillers it is especially helpful against dreaded uplift truck damage and scuffing caused by chairlifts.

application
biketape is easy to apply. Proper application will ensure it remains in place for years to come:

1: Clean the surface well, ideally with degreaser
2: Measure the size of the area you want to protect
3: Cut the tape to the required size using sharp scissors or a craft knife
4: Peel back the white backing from one end of the tape to expose the sticky side
5: Apply to the surface from one end, peeling away the backing strip & smoothing from the centre towards the edges as you go
6: Using a hairdryer to heat the tape will help create a stronger bond & make it easier to apply to tight curves

There is a clear, slightly opaque, backing strip on the topside of the tape which can be removed if desired.
