Welcome to the world of Gypsum based plaster with British Gypsums Fine Casting Plaster. This product is the entry level plaster manufactured by BG and is more commonly known as Plaster of Paris. 100% Beta Plaster with no frills, ideal for the new casters making mistakes a lot less costly.

If your current suppliers Crystacal is setting faster than 10 minutes then its really really old! The older the plaster the quicker it will try to set. This is a premium plaster and will reproduce very fine detail. It is similar setting material in time compared to Herculite 2. We NEVER supply plaster thats older than 4 months.

Whether its a figurine or a fridge magnet, chess piece or just about anything else, if its a low cost entry level plaster you seek, this is the plaster product you need! Its ideal for basic mould support cases and very useful for carving formers sinces its very soft.

The shelf life of this product to perform to exact specification is around 4 months, though keep it dry and in a plastic bag and it will last. Water to Plaster correct ratio according to Bristish Gypsum is 100:70.
