Thank you for browsing my eBay listings and welcome to my rare James Bond auction!
You are bidding for a first edition book club edition of Ian Fleming's FROM RUSSIA, WITH LOVE.
Arguably the best of all the Bond novels, published in 1957, and made from the rejected papers of the first Cape printing, this is an opportunity to invest in a first printing of James Bond's fifth and most thrilling adventure.
When buying a rare book, either as an addition to your bookshelf or as an investment opportunity, the condition is of paramount importance. This is a Good - condition FROM RUSSIA, WITH LOVE.
The original blue boards are complete, original, holding all 253 pages intact. The book has noticeable wear and tear with a sun faded spine, substantial edging and some shelf wear. The boards are marked with slight fraying to the edges. The boards are bumped with some knocks sustained and some orangeish marks to both the front and rear boards. These did not show up in my photos below but please bear these clear defects in mind.
Internally, the book is nicer with pages are all held securely with none loose, none missing, and pages that are generally clean with some blemishes to some pages and foxing to the page block edges. There are no inscriptions.
The book is NOT ex-library.
The original dust wrapper is a Good - dust jacket, vibrant with bright colours, with moderate chipping and some pieces missing, though the jacket is otherwise intact, with both flaps present, NOT price clipped.
