This fantastic oil lamp base was made in the United Kingdom, during the 19th Century. It is decorated with neo-classical motifs, picked out in black and white, to a vivid pink coloured ground, with a gilt banded black footed base. The oil lamp base is hand painted and is finished in high quality gloss glaze.

Marks & Backstamps

The oil lamp base is marked to the underside with some impressed markings, and is guaranteed to be a genuine, early and original piece.

Condition & Size

The oil lamp base has some minor age wear to the surface, and some gilt rubbing to the base, which is common in a piece of this vintae, and does not detract. Otherwise, it is in very good condition, with no chips, cracks or restoration. It measures approximately 10” in height.
