This fantastic lidded water jug was produced by one of the famous Ironstone china manufacturers, from the United Kingdom, during the 19th Century. It is decorated in an Oriental style design, featuring pagoda, figures, flamboyant floral patterning and exotic birds, picked out vibrant colours, on a white ground. It is hand coloured and is finished in high quality gloss glaze.

Marks & Backstamps

The jug is marked to the base with a printed manufacturer's backstamp, please refer to additional photographs below.

Condition & Size

The jug has a couple of chips to the spout rim, which is common in a piece of this vintage, and does not greatly detract. Otherwise, it is in very good condition, with no cracks or restoration. It measures approximately 8½" to the height of the finial.
