A Beautiful 19th Century Hinks and Sons Oil lamp.

 

This rather beautiful Hinks and Sons oil lamp is really quite fabulous and was probably manufactured circa 1860.

 

The fount is a lovely shade of blue glass with a hand painted enameldesign on it and has Hinks and Sons Ltd stamped round the top. The fount connects to a wonderfully detailed and heavily worked brass stand complete with the original base weight which is also marked Hinks and Sons.

 

The brass burner is a twin duplex with working wick snuffers and the lamp comes complete with the original shade and chimney.

 

This is a great Victorian collector’s piece that will look great in any home.  The lamp is in excellent condition for its age.

 

Lamp size is 24.5” in height.
