19th Century Pitcairn Coconut Tea Caddy / Box & Stand 

This is a rare 19th century souvenir from Pitcairn Island. The coconut is believed to have been intended for use as a tea caddy mounted within a wooden frame with turned uprights. 

CONDITION  Originally fixed to the wooden frame it is missing a nut & bolt, overall wear is commensurate with age & use.

The overall condition is as you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used.  See photos
