A beautifully colorful 19th century chromo litho in its original wood-backed frame. The red-colored wood frame measures 11 ½” x 15 ¾” and is adorned in what appears to be some type of acetate veneer. The print illustrates a young girl carrying a female infant child on her back. You’ll note that in the photos below I identify an area on the print as having white “dots”. At first I though this was marks on the glass but after viewing it under high magnification, it appears to me that the wood backing may have created these marks since the glass, print and wood are compacted tightly together. Nevertheless it is in very good condition.
