A nice quality Victorian Postman's Alarm Black Forest wall clock.

Measures 10.5" across to outside of turned walnut outer bezel.

Perfect glass dial which is 6" across.

Original hands and alarm pointer.Orig.bell. Excellent quality wood framed brass movement.

Original faded trade label to back of case for "P.H.&S. Baden." The clock is also numbered(hand written after the printed"No." on this label - 1446.  1880.

Unusually the movement has very good quality brass latched removable doors to either side.

This clock is a total "sleeper" - in need of a polish but all complete apart from missing pendulum and weights (one original brass cased lead weight and chain present but should be two.)

Sold as non-goer - movement dirty and dusty - but looks sweet, everything present and intact and should be an easy restoration. Butt joint in wooden surround has seperated slightly below the 6 o'clock position and needs clamping/re-gluing.

A totally original period clock that hasn't been messed with or "got at" in any way.

A little tlc and minor restoration will produce a hugely attractive item.
