You are offered British Crimean War period 1856 pattern pioneer sidearm in matching brass mounted leather scabbard.
Brass hilt and the blade are in excellent condition, the blade is stamped with several ordnance markings at ricasso, the cross guard is dated with “1857” and bears other markings.
The scabbard leather surface is heavily worn and split at the edge. Brass mounts are in almost perfect state.
