ARTIST: ALLEN L PETTIT ???

TITLE: "THE SLIDE - VOLNO DI BAGNIO -1893"

SIGNED: Yes on the rear of one and inscribed with title on one and nothing to other.

MEDIUM: oil on canvas x 2

SIZE: 14" x 12"  both

FRAMED: Yes -original gilt frames with some light damage ( I have some loose decoration that has fallen off  frame)

CONDITION: Excellent , one has historic canvas repair.

COMMENT: In my limited research I can find nothing on this artist. I firmly believe they are valuable pieces- perhaps I'm reading the signature wrong and its obvious to another ebayer. I have put on loads of photos so you can see the quality, humour and age of this pair. They are Italian ( I assume) 19th Century and so well painted. Take a good look at the photos and any queries please conact me.
