Yamaha XJ900S Diversion (May 1999, T reg) – Only 8600 dry miles from new

This bike has hardly been anywhere, and is in amazing condition for its year (bordering somewhere between ‘excellent’ and immaculate) .

It has gleaming chrome and near perfect paintwork with no dings or dents absolutely anywhere - and you’d have to look extremely close-up to notice one or two extremely minor scratches that you’re bound to get on any bike that’s not fresh out of the showroom !).

Only 2 mature owners from new (the 2nd one being me,  having bought the bike from a dealer a year ago).

The bike comes with full service history (with original Yamaha owners handbook and service book all up to date), and the bike was last dealer serviced at 8300 miles in Mar 08, at which the bike received it’s first new set of tyres (front and rear) since new – and has been fitted with quality Bridgestone 020 tyres (cost £170 for the pair), which are the best and most grippy tyres you can get for this type of bike, and it also has brand new sintered brake pads at front and rear.

The bike also comes with a Givi Wing Rack and 2-helmet sized (easily removable, clip-on/off and lockable ) top box which is just one year old, and was fitted by the dealer when I bought the bike.

This really is an amazing example of the XJ900 Diversion touring bike, and there aren't many out there (if any) in as good as condition as this one, and it is absolutely ideal for anyone looking for a robust, reliable shaft-drive touring bike . The well renowned and incredibly tough and reliable Yamaha engine on this bike is as sweet as a nut - and  sounds awesome.

The bike comes with V5 document, copies of all bills and receipts (including purchase receipt), owners manual/service manual, and the two sets of original ignition keys.

The bike is taxed until Jun 08, and MOT’d until Jul 2008.

The only reason I am putting this lovely bike on the market is because I’m at the stage where I want to upgrade to a new superbike.

I’m offering this bike at £3150 ovno - noting that the price takes into account the excellent condition, very low (genuine mileage) plus the cost of the two brand new quality tyres, new Brake Pads, inclusive Givi Rack/Top box, and new Exhaust collector box which was fitted just after I bought the bike a year ago (and which I forgot to mention when I first listed this advert !)

Yes, I'm aware there are other cheaper XJ900s out there, but this one is VERY low mileage, and in absolutely first class condition , and given that it's just had brand new tyres, and its 8,500 mile service etc (all of which would otherwise have to be paid for by the buyer) - then the price represents excellent value for money.

Payment by Cash on collection, or by personal cheque, which will have to ‘clear’ into my bank account before the bike is collected.
